Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Compound Salvia Droplet Pills (CSDP) for treating angina pectoris. Methods Foreign database (Cochrane Library online edition) and Chinese database (Chinese Biomedical Database, China Academic Journal Fulltext Database of Chinese Scientific Journals, and Wanfang Digital Journal Fulltext Database) were retrieved via internet, according to Cochrane systematic review method of quality evaluation.Metaanalysis of homogeneous studies was carried out with RevMan 5.0, and descriptive qualitative analysis was performed for the data could not be merged. Results The Results showed that CSDP alleviated the onset of angina pectoris(OR=2.18, 95% CI [1.75,2.70],P<0.000 01), improved ischemic ECG(OR=2.39,95%CI [1.99,2.88],P<0.000 01), lowered cholesterol(WMD=1.31, 95% CI [1.03, 1.58],P<0.000 01) and triacylglycerol(WMD=2.05, 95%CI [1.65,2.45],P<0.000 01), and raised the heart rate variability, and presented no obvious side effects. Conclusion CSDP demonstrated curative effect on angina pectoris, and no obvious side effects, which suggest that CSDP are effective and safe for treating angina pectoris.
