LIU Dong
LIU Dong (1969-), Professor of Pharmacy, doctoral supervisor, Director of Department of Pharmacy, Tongji Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Deputy Director of Phase I clinical Laboratory.
He is a member of the Military and Emergency Pharmacy Section (MEPS) of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), the Special Committee of the Quality Control Center of the National Pharmacy Administration Commission, the Pharmacoepidemiology Committee of the China Pharmaceutical Association (CPA), the Clinical Pharmacology Committee of the Chinese Pharmacological Society (CNPHARS), the Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology Committee of Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine (CAIM), the Traditional Chinese Medicine Experimental Pharmacology Branch of China Association of Chinese Medicine (CACM), and the Expert Advisory Committee on Hubei Drug (Medical Devices) Adverse Reaction Monitoring and Emergency Management of Sudden Group Adverse Events. Also, Prof. Liu has served as a vice chairman of the Clinical Pharmacy Branch of the China International Exchange and Promotive Association for Medical and Health Care (CPAM), the Perioperative Medication Committee of Chinese Pharmacists Association, the Pharmacy Administration Commission of China Medicine Education Association, the Hubei Province Pharmaceutical Association, the Clinical Pharmacy Quality Control Center in Hubei Province, and the Professional Committee of Traditional Chinese Medicine Pharmacology of the Hubei Province Pharmacological Society. And he is also the chairman of the Committee of Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Evaluation of the Hubei Province Pharmaceutical Association, the managing director of Hubei Drug and Medical Device Clinical Evaluation Society, the director of the Wuhan Pharmaceutical Association, and the censor expert of Good Clinical Practice Agency of National Medical Products Administration (NMPA).
Meanwhile, Prof. Liu has served as a reviewer, an editor, or an executive editorial board member of many academic journals like: the Chinese version of International Journal of Clinical Pharmacy (IJCP), International Immunopharmacology, Current Signal Transduction Therapy, Complementary Therapies in Medicine, Chinese Journal of Hospital Pharmacy, Chinese Journal of Pharmacoepidemiology, Herald of Medicine and so on.
Prof. Liu is devoted to clinical pharmacy, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacology of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine. He has presided over many longitudinal research projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Natural Science Foundation of Hubei Province, and the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities. He has carried out a large number of researches in the field of pharmacokinetics and bioequivalence of new drugs, and has been responsible for and completed more than 50 clinical trials of new drugs. He has published more than 180 research papers in domestic and international professional journal (more than 60 of them have been recorded by SCI), and compiled 8 monographs. With an invention patented, Prof. Liu has twice won Second Prize of Science Progress Award in Hubei Province, and won the "Excellent Pharmacist Award" of the CPA in 2010, the "Hospital Pharmaceutical Innovation Award" of the Hubei Pharmaceutical Association in 2017, and the "Most Beautiful Scientific and Technological Worker Award" of the CPA in 2020.
During his tenure as the executive editorial board member of Herald of Medicine, Prof. Liu actively solicited and wrote articles for Herald of Medicine, gave wide publicity to it , and put forward a lot of constructive suggestions for the development of the magazine. Recently, Prof. Liu has been the deputy editor of the 11th Editorial Board of Herald of Medicine since 2022.

DU Guanhu
Du Guanhua (1956-), member of the Communist Party of China, Ph.D., Professor of Pharmacology. Academician of International Eurasian Academy of Sciences. Director, National Center for Pharmaceutical Screening. Tenured professor, Pekin Union Medical College, Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College. President of the Chinese Pharmacological Society (former); Tenth and eleventh members of the National Pharmacopoeia Committee; Member of overall expert committee of National science and technology major project "major New drug creation". Member of the Executive Committee of the International Union of Pharmacology (IUPHAR); Member, Executive Committee of Asia-Pacific Federation of Pharmacologists. Chief editor of the journals “Pharmacology and Clinics of Chinese Materia Medica”, “PR-Modern Chinese Medicine”. Associate chief editor of “Pharmacology & Therapeutics” and “Acta Pharmacologia Sinica”. He has published more than 800 papers, more than 40 monographs and more than 80 patents. He has won 2 second prizes of National Science and Technology progress award and more than 10 other awards. He has the national outstanding scientists personal honors.
ZHAO Zhigang
Zhao Zhigang (1966-), professor, doctoral supervisor. He is currently the director of the Department of Pharmacy, Beijing Tiantan Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University, the director of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy, College of Pharmacy, Capital Medical University, and the chief pharmacist of Beijing Medical Management Center. He also serves as the 11th member of the National Pharmacopeia Commission, the team leader of the Family Pharmacist Specification Training Project of the Capacity Building and Continuing Education Center of the National Health Commission, the Committee member of the Pharmaceutical Administration and Pharmacotherapy Committee of the National Health Commission, the chairman of the Home Pharmaceutical Care Pharmacists Branch of the Chinese Pharmacists Association, the Working Committee member of the Group Standards and Technical Specifications of the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association, and the member of the Prohibition City International Pharmacist Forum executive chairman, etc.
Research orientation: Drug therapy management in neurosurgery, neurology Department, evaluation of innovative drugs, hospital pharmaceutical management. It undertook 88 scientific research projects, including the 863, the 11th and 13th Five-Year Plans for "Major New Drug Creation", with a total research fund of 16 million yuan. He has published 727 Chinese academic papers (over 300 as the first author or corresponding author) and 98 SCI papers (over 50 as the first author or corresponding author). He edited and participated in the compilation of 143 academic works (including 33 chief editors and 8 associate editors). He presided over or participated in the formulation of 4 standards, 18 guidelines and guiding principles, 41 expert consensus, and edited 4 blue books.
Awards: "Clinical Application of Intracranial Germinoma combined with chemotherapy" in 1995, Beijing Science and Technology Progress Prize (fifth). Patent: Nimodipine Patch (patent number: ZL2004 1 0074344.3). "Study on the population pharmacokinetics of carbamazepine in epileptic patients in China", won the third prize (ranking fourth) of Shanghai Pharmaceutical Science and Technology Award in 2005. The third prize of Science and Technology Award of Beijing in 2009, "Investigation of Drug Using in Basic Medical Insurance and Work-related Injury Insurance in Beijing and Countermeasures to Prevent Abuse". "Drug Utilization Evaluation and Rational Monitoring of Drug Use in Primary Medical Institutions in Beijing" (Zhao Zhigang, Zhang Xiangdong, Chen Shicai, Chang Lijie), won the third prize of Science and Technology Award of Chinese Pharmaceutical Association in 2013 (ranking first). "Construction and Application of Rational Drug Use and Evaluation System in Primary Medical Institutions in Beijing", won the third prize of 2016 Annual Science and Technology Innovation Award (ranking first) of China Medical Education Association. In 2022, he won the 22nd "Wu Yang Award". Since 2018, he has been the deputy editor of Medical Herald. During his time as deputy editor, Professor Zhao Zhigang assisted the editorial department in planning and formulating report columns, personally solicited articles, assisted the editorial department in organizing various academic exchange activities, actively publicized and promoted the magazine among colleagues in the medical industry, and made important contributions to expanding the influence of the magazine.

ZHANG Yu
Zhang Yu (1968 -), professor and chief pharmacist. He graduated from Tongji Medical University with a bachelor's degree in 1991; In 2012, he received a doctor's degree in pharmacology from the university.
From 2000 to 2011, he served as Deputy Director of Pharmacy Department of Union Hospital affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology; From 2011 to 2013, he served as Deputy Dean of Union Hospital affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Director of Clinical Pharmacy Research Office of Pharmacy Department, and Deputy Director of Hospital Management Research Institute; From 2014 , he has been the Party Secretary of the Union Hospital affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. At present, Professor Zhang is the chairman of the Hospital Pharmacy Professional Committee of the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association, the vice chairman of the Clinical Pharmacy Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, the chairman of the Professional Committee of the Pharmacy Group of the China Clinical Practice Guide Alliance, the chairman of the Hospital Pharmacy Management Expert Committee of the China Modern Hospital Management System Think Tank, the chief editor of the Chinese Journal of Hospital Pharmacy, and the chairman of the Clinical Pharmacy Branch of Hubei Medical Association, Chairman of the Hospital Pharmacy Professional Committee of Hubei Pharmaceutical Association, and Chairman of the Drug Clinical Comprehensive Evaluation Expert Committee of Hubei Province.
Professor Zhang focus his research on natural polysaccharides and precision medicine. He has gained important achievements in these fields: precision medicine, which was approved as the Clinical Medical Research Center for Precision Medicine of Major Diseases in Hubei Province; In the field of natural polysaccharides, he is the first one in the world to establish polysaccharide in vivo tracing technology, breaking through the barrier of polysaccharide in vivo pharmacokinetics research. Related technologies have been granted a number of national invention patents, and successfully transformed to application, providing support for the upgrading of the natural polysaccharide industry chain. Professor Zhang has successively presided over or participated in 5 projects from National Natural Science Foundation of China , 1 key special sub project of "Precision Medicine Research" of the "13th Five Year projec" National Key R&D Plan, 1 provincial key project of Natural Science Foundation, 1 provincial key R&D plan project, 3 provincial science and technology research plans, 2 provincial natural science funds, 1 provincial scientific research project of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine, and 1 municipal key research plan, with a total research fund of more than 15 million yuan. At present, more than 200 papers have been published in international top journals and domestic core journals, such as Signal Transmission and Targeted Therapy which is a sub journal of Nature, Journal of Controlled Release, Chemical Engineering Journal and Carbohydrate Polymers, . Among them, 2 were selected as the cover articles of TOP journals, and many were rated as highly cited. 13 national patents have been applied, one of which has been successfully transformed into an enterprise. He is also the chief editor and chief translator of 8 books.
In 2006 and 2010, Professor Zhang won the second prize of Science and Technology Progress in Hubei Province respectively. In 2012, he won the first prize of Science and Technology Progress in Hubei Province. In 2015, he won the first prize of Science and Technology Progress in 2016 and 2021, In 2017, it won the "Outstanding Leader Award of Chinese Hospitals" of China Association of Research Hospitals, "Excellent Party Worker" of the City Branch of China Association for the Promotion of Ideological and Political Work of Health and Family Planning, "Outstanding Scientific and Technological Achievement Award" of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, "Advanced Individual with Special Contributions" of the City Branch of China Association for the Promotion of Ideological and Political Work of Health and Family Planning, and "Advanced Individual with Special Contributions" of the City Branch of China Association for the Promotion of Ideological and Political Work of Health and Family Planning, In 2018, he won the special allowance of the provincial government of Hubei Province, in 2019, he won the medical leading talent of Hubei Province, in 2020, he was rated as the "most beautiful scientific and technological worker" of the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association, in the same year, he won the special allowance of the State Council, and in 2021, he won the Wu Jieping Pharmaceutical Innovation Award. Since 2022, he has been the deputy editor in chief of the 11th Editorial Board of Medicine Guide.
CHEN Xiao
Chen Xiao (1965-), chief pharmacist, Ph.D., graduated from the School of Pharmacy, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He mainly engaged in clinical pharmacy teaching, research and pharmacy administration. Currently, he is the chairman of the Drug and Therapeutics Committees of Health Commission of Guangdong Province, the director of the Quality Control Center of Guangdong Provincial Pharmacy Administration, the vice chairman of the Hospital Pharmacy Committee of Chinese Pharmaceutical Association, the vice chairman of the Clinical Pharmacy Branch of Chinese Medical Association, the vice president of Guangdong Pharmaceutical Association, and the former chairman of the Clinical Pharmacy Branch of Guangdong Medical Association. He also serves as deputy Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Adverse Drug Reactions, and deputy editor-in-chief of Drug Evaluation, Pharmacy Today, Chinese Clinical Pharmacy, and Herald of Medicine. He has obtained 11 provincial and ministerial funds such as major science and technology projects of Guangdong Province and published more than 80 papers at home and abroad.
Editor-in-chief of "Clinical Pharmacotherapeutics - Organ Transplantation Volume", "Clinical Drug Quick Reference Manual", "English-Chinese Dictionary of Chemical Drugs", "Guangdong Province Essential Drug Clinical Application Guide", "Organ Transplantation Precision Medicine -CDSS Theory and Practice".
Awards: The research of salbutamol sulfate Controlled Release (small pill) Capsule won the third prize of Science and Technology in Guangdong Province. Obtained two hospital preparation invention patents.
Chen Xiao, Chief Pharmacist, has served as deputy editor of the 11th Editorial Committee of Herald Medicine since 2022.
CHEN Zhengyu
Chen Zhengyu(1970-), PhD, Senior Colonel Pharmacist (Retired), acts as the FIP China Envoy, responsible for all the affairs and programs of International Pharmaceutical Federation(FIP) in China. He was awarded FIP FELLOW in 2014.
He is the Immediate Past President of Military and Emergency Pharmacy Section (MEPS), FIP. He served as MEPS President from 2010 to 2016, MEPS Vice President from 2008 to 2010.
He has been military pharmacist of the Health Department of the General Logistics Department, CPLA for 18 years, in charge of the military's health foreign affairs, United Nations peacekeeping medical care, medicine regulations and inspections, controlled medicines, electronic medicine supervision codes, "Pharmaceutical Journal of the People's Liberation Army", etc.
He received Military Special Talent Allowance (2008), Rising Star of "Three Star Talents " of the General Logistics Department (2010).
He has over 50 research articles in peer-reviewed journals; 2 books and 5 book chapters; and over 80 presentations at international and national conferences.
ZHANG Dairong
Zhang Dairong (1965-), Chief Pharmacist, CPC member. Since March 1990, she has been engaged in editing and periodical management in the editorial department of Herald of Medicine, and has successively been appointed as editor, responsible editor, associate editor-in-chief, executive associate editor-in-chief, and president, etc. Meanwhile, she was elected as member of the 10th Committee of Hubei Association for Science & Technology, vice chairman of the medical journal professional committee of the 4th and 5th Council of Hubei Province Periodicals Association, vice chairman of Hubei Province Editology Society For Science and Technology Periodicals from 2007 to 2012, member of the information professional committee of Hubei Pharmaceutical Association, director of Wuhan Pharmaceutical Association, etc.
Since serving as the associate editor-in-chief of Herald of Medicine in 1998, she has been committed to the research on editing methodology of science & technology periodicals, actively exploring novel methods, and focusing on building an interactive communication community of authors (readers)-editors-editorial board members (reviewers). When presiding over the editorial board of Herald of Medicine, she formulated a series of editorial and publishing rules and regulations based on previous editorial work practice. She led the team to change the journal from bimonthly to monthly in 2001, and establish the journal’s website and remote editing system in 2006, which was a leading accomplishment in the field of science & technology periodicals. In 2000, Herald of Medicine was elected into the "A Guide to the Core Journals of China"("Core Journals of Peking university").
In addition to actively exploring the working mode of periodicals and improving work efficiency and quality, she also carried out researches in editing and pharmacy. Her major achievements in this direction include publishing 22 professional papers, editing or co-editing seven books such as National Encyclopedia of Over-the-counter Drugs and Collection of Drug Names in the World, and participating in the project "Striving to Create a World-class Journal and Promote the Development of Hubei's Science, Technology and Economy" which is conducted by Hubei Association for Science & Technology in 2019. She has received numerous awards in recognition of her outstanding achievements in journal editing and researches, including the Outstanding Young Editor (1996, Hubei Province Editology Society For Science and Technology Periodicals); the First Outstanding Editor-in-Chief Award (2006, Hubei Province Editology Society For Science and Technology Periodicals); the Outstanding President and Editor-in-Chief Award (2010, Hubei Province Press and Publication Bureau, Hubei Province Periodicals Association); the First Science & Technology Periodical Outstanding Editor Award (2011, "Science & Technology Innovation Source Project" initiated by Hubei Association for Science & Technology); Advanced Individual in Targeted Poverty Alleviation (2017, Hubei Province Editology Society For Science and Technology Periodicals); Learning Pacesetter (2021, Hubei Province Editology Society For Science and Technology Periodicals), the second prize of the "Lingyun Cup" which was awarded for the paper "Practice and Prospect of Online Publishing of Herald of Medicine" published in the Acta Editologica (2007, Hubei Province Editology Society For Science and Technology Periodicals), and the second prize of the "Dengfeng Cup" for the paper "Strategy and Path of Creating Featured Columns – Taking Herald of Medicine as an Example " published in the Journal of Huanggang Normal University (2021, Hubei Province Editology Society For Science and Technology Periodicals). and the excellent paper prize of the "Boxue Cup" for the paper " Exploration and Practice of Carrying Out Social Service Activities in Medical Scientific Journals – Taking Herald of Medicine as an Example " published in the Journal of Huanggang Normal University (2022, Hubei Province Editology Society For Science and Technology Periodicals).
