Guidelines for Authors

1 Title

The title should be concise and clear and reflect the research content of the paper. The title in Chinese should not be too long, about 20 Chinese character. Chemical formulae, formulas, abbreviations or codes (except for those that are publicly known) should not be used in title. The meaning of Chinese and English titles should be consistent. The first letter of the content word (nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs) and preposition with more than five characters in the English title and institution name should be capitalized.

2 Authorship and Institution
Each author should have participated sufficiently in the work, be responsibility for its content and can answer questions in the paper. Each author is the legal copyright holder and responsible person of the paper. A corresponding author who can take full responsibility for the paper needs to be determined at the time of submission. If not specifically stated in the manuscript, the first author is regarded as the corresponding author. The first author's profile should be supplied on the last page in the following order: name (birth year-), gender, ethnicity (Han nationality can be omitted), native place, professional title, academic degree, specialty, telephone number, and E-mail. The open researcher and contributor identifier (ORCID) should also be provided. The ORCID application method can be found in the "Editorial Bulletin" section on the home page of the journal website. If the first author and the corresponding author are not the same person, the profile of the corresponding author should be provided on the last page of the paper in the same format. The authors' names are listed below the title, and the names of the authors are separated by ",". The names of foreign authors do not need to be translated into Chinese in accordance with international practice. The institution of authors should be fully named to the department, and the city and postal code of the institution should be indicated. Multiple institutions are listed in the order of the author's signature, not in separate columns. Different institutions are marked with consecutive Arabic numerals in the upper right corner of the name and in front of the institution name, separated by ";" between institutions, and different sections of the same department are separated by ",". The English names of the authors’ institutions should have the same meaning as the Chinese version. Authors’ names is written in Pinyin format as followed: the family name is in front of the given name, each spelling letter of the family name is capitalized, the first letter of the given name is capitalized, and the rest is written in lowercase. For example, WANG Guiping (王桂平), ZHANG Ming (张明), OUYANG Weixiang (欧阳为相), and ZHUGE Wen (诸葛文).

3 Abstract, Keywords and CLC Number
(1) Abstract For all first-hand articles over 2,000 words, please attach a reported abstract in 300-500 words. The four elements of abstract are objective, method, result and conclusion. In the Objective section, briefly states the purpose of the study, the reason for the problem, and the scope and importance of the study. The Method should provide readers with a brief description of the basic design of the subject, materials and methods, administration or group methods, the scope of the study and the degree of accuracy, and how to obtain data. In Result, briefly list the main results, data and statistical significance test values of the study. The Conclusion provides readers the correct view which has been demonstrated, and its theoretical or application value. The four elements are required to be brief and concise. The abstract should be written in the third-person, and it is recommended to use the phrases as “a study on … was conducted”, “the status of … was reported”, “a survey about … was investigated” and other descriptions to indicate the nature and subject of the literature. Please not use the phrases such as "this paper", "we”, "the authors”, “our institution”, etc..
(2) Keywords Please use 3 to 5 the subject words in Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) as keywords, or use free words if there is no such word in the MeSH list. For all article over 3,000 words, please attach the English version of title, abstract, keywords, the name of the author in Pinyin or English, and the name of the authors’ institutions. And place them below the Chinese keywords. The English abstract and keywords should be consistent with the Chinese version. Please review and revise them by an author who is fluent in English before submitting.
(3) CLC Number The Chinese Library Classification (CLC) number is obtained from the CLC system (can be done by the editorial staff) placed under the Chinese keywords. Several classification numbers can be given for the article involving multiple disciplines, and the main classification number should be in the first place. Combined with the characteristics of the journal, two classification numbers are generally used, a pharmaceutical CLC number in the first place and a medical CLC number in the second place.

4 Introduction
In introduction, a brief description of the background of the topic, the research ideas and the current situation at home and abroad (you can list the necessary references), the purpose, and significance should be provided. The introduction is preferably in one paragraph, without tables, figures or derivation of formulas. Generally, the introduction should not exceed 15% of the full text.

5 Materials and Instruments
Experimental materials, including drugs, reagents, animals, etc., should be marked with the name, composition, specifications, purity, source, production unit, and batch number. If experimental animals were used, author should provide the information of species line, sex, age, body mass, number, certificate number, animal cleanliness level, and feeding environment (feed, lighting conditions, temperature and humidity, air supply, etc.). Experimental instruments should indicate the name, model, and manufacturer. If the research object is a plant, animal, microorganism, or herbal medicine, its scientific name should be indicated in italics for the first time. The herbal medicine should indicate the identifier and his (or her) institution, the place of origin, and purchase location. Mineral drugs should specify the main contained components. The sex, age and actual measured body mass of experimental animals or participants (volunteers and/or patients) should be expressed as mean ± standard deviation (x ± s) with confidence interval. When experiments are conducted with human or animal subjects, the authors should state. All trials should only be conducted in compliance with provincial ethical standards in biomedicine or in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki established in 1964 (revised in 2008). The patient's name and hospitalization number should be omitted, and the dose administered must be verified to be accurate.

6 Experimental Method
Conventional experimental methods which reported in literatures, could be only list the literature source. The methods with improvements should be written in detail for others to repeat.

7 Results
Except for incidental errors or special cases, all results should be reported truthfully, i.e., negative, inconclusive as well as positive results should be all published. The results should be statistically analyzed. And conclusions should not appear in the part of results.

8 Tables and Figures
If the text can explain the contents without tables and figures, the text would be preferred. The data in the text, tables and graphs should not be repeated. When tables are hard to display the development, direction, and trend of the data, figures should be used. All the tables, figures and photos should be self-explanatory. Figure and table should have title, and the English title should be attached below the Chinese title. The table title should be under the table, and the figure title should be over the figure. Tables and figures should be ordered in number, and when there is only one figure or table, it is still expressed as “Figure 1” and “Table 1”.
The tables in the journal are “three-line tables”. The data in the tables must be verified, the sum of vertical and horizontal is consistent, and the number of valid digits after the decimal point should be retained. The data in the table should be aligned. The same item with the same group of data accuracy should be consistent. The cells in the table body can be filled with blank or with a line “-”. The blank means no such, no statistics, or no measurement. The “-” mark means unknown, or not available. The number “0” means the value is zero (statistical result is zero, measurement result is zero, and/or calculation result is zero).
Figure and table could be marked with ① ② ③to highlighted where need to explain. The notes both in Chinese and English should be shown under the figure or table. Please attach the original drawings form the instruments, such as UV spectrum, IR spectrum, liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, cardiac or brain electroencephalography in physiology or pharmacology, etc..
The coordinate graphs, histograms, pie charts, etc., please use “.TIF” suffix format if they are drawn by computer. If there is a scale on the coordinate axis, the scale of both vertical and horizontal coordinates should face inward. When there are values on the coordinate axes, the axes do not use arrow mark at the end of axes. If the figure is to be illustrated with a figure note in Chinese, and the English figure note should be attached under that.
The quantity symbols and units in the graphs and tables should be indicated by the quantity name symbol in the front and the quantity unit symbol in the back with a slash, such as t / min, C / (mol·L-1).

9 Statistical Methods
The interpretation and expression of the results should state the specific names of the statistical software and statistical methods used (e.g., t-test for group design data, ANOVA for two-factor analysis of variance design, etc.), and the specific values of the statistics should be χ2 values or t-values, with P < 0.05 indicating statistically significant differences.

10 Drug Names and Medical Terms
(1) Drug Names Drug names in Chinese are based on the Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China (2020 edition) and the Chinese Generic Names of Medicines (Chemical Industry Press) compiled by the State Pharmacopoeia Commission, and the names are consistent with international generic names as far as possible. Foreign new drug names use international nonproprietary name (INN). The Chinese and foreign drug names are in lowercase, but the first letter of the trade name should be capitalized. If the new drug was approved by National Medical Product Administration, the approved drug name should be the first choice, and other codes or trade name should not be used if possible. Uncommon drug names when they first appear, please specify the English name.
(2) Medical Terms Attention should be paid to the uniformity of the whole manuscript, and use the Medical Terminology (Science Press, latest version) published by the China National Committee for Terminology in Science and Technology or visit the website of the China National Committee for Terminology in Science and Technology (www.cnctst.cn). For example, weight should use body mass, and high temperature should use fever. Medical terms should not be abbreviated arbitrarily. If the term used is too long and needs to be used several times in the text, the abbreviation should be indicated in parentheses after the full name in the first citation, e.g., viral meningomyelitis (VMM).

11 Quantities, Units of Measurement and Symbols
The units of measurement are based on the international system of units endorsed by Metrology Law of the People's Republic of China. Please refer to the "National Standard of the People's Republic of China (GB3100-3102-1993) Quantities and Units" and the Application of Legal Units of Measurements in Medicine (3rd edition, Beijing: People's Military Medical Publishing House, 2001) compiled by the Chinese Medical Association.
The name of symbols are in italics, for example: m (mass), n (amount of substance), l, L (length), r, D (radius), A, S (area), V (volume), t (time), λ (wavelength), Ar (relative atomic mass), Mr (relative molecular mass), d (relative density), etc.. The name of unit symbols, prefix symbols and Arabic numerals of quantities are in regular form, for example: t (ton), kg (kilogram), mol·L-1 (concentration units, should not be written as M). The expression form of the centrifugal rate should express in terms of centrifugal acceleration (g) in the form of multiples, such as 6000 × g, centrifugation 10 min, or in the centrifuge speed given at the same time to give the centrifugal radius, for example, centrifugal rate 1,200 r·min-1, centrifugal radius 8 cm, centrifugation 10 min. The unit symbol for pressure is Pa. But in medical and biological professions, the unit symbol for blood pressure is mmHg, 1 mmHg = 0.133 kPa should be indicated in parentheses where first occurrence. The unit symbol for heat is J (1 cal = 4.18 J). The units of time, a, d, h, min, s, etc. are the international symbol for the unit of measurement of time, such as 2 years for 2 a, 4 days for 4 d, 3 hours for 3 h, 2 minutes for 2 min, 1 second for 1 s. But the week, month, year of age are not the legal unit of measurement of time, still according to the customary terminology such as 2 weeks old, 6 months old, or 4 years old. International designators may not be used in non-numerical sentences and narrative statements without statistical significance, such as "per day" should not be written as "per d". There should not be more than one slash in a combination unit code, for example, 5 mg/kg/d should be written as 5 mg·kg-1·d-1.
Drug reagent concentration and various biochemical indicators of the legal unit of expression are in accordance with national standards. Where Ar or Mr can be accurately measured (such as various electrolytes, buffers, etc.), the substance concentration should be used, expressed in mol·L-1, mmol·L-1, μmol·L-1 and other legal units. Where the mixture (such as total protein, total lipids, various types of immunoglobulins, etc.) or its Mr, Ar cannot be accurately measured, mass concentration should be expressed in the form of g·L-1, mg·L-1, μg·L-1 and other indices.

12 Numerals
The “National Standard of the People's Republic of China (GB/T15835-2011) General Rules for Writing Numerals in Publications” shall prevail.
(1) Arabic Numerals Arabic numerals should be used wherever they can be used decently. Gregorian century, era, year, month, day, moment and counting, measurement (including positive and negative integers, fractions, decimals, percentages and approximate) are used in Arabic numerals. year, edition, volume, page number, troop number, instrument model, standard number with Arabic numerals, but do not use the three-digit subsection method, such as page 2766, 84602 Troops, Hp3000 computer, national standards GB1312- 4800, etc.
(2) Chinese Numerals Chinese numerals are used in the following cases: numbers are used as words to form stereotyped phrases, idioms, abbreviations or rhetorical statements, such as “二倍体”, “十二指肠”, “二氧化碳”, “解放军第一七五医院”; two adjacent numbers are used side by side to express an approximate number (without an apostrophe between the two numbers used together), such as “三四米”; Chinese numerals are also used for editions, volumes and page numbers of ancient books; Chinese numerals are used for all indefinite words, such as “任何一个患者”,“这是一种免疫反应”,“无一例死亡”"; Chinese numerals are used for all days of the week, such as "星期一".
(3) Increase and Decrease The increase of numbers can be expressed in multiples, and the decrease of numbers can only be expressed in fractions or decreases in percentage, for example, a 2-fold increase, a decrease of 1/4 or a decrease of 25%.
(4) Valid Values The reading of measurement data cannot exceed the precision of its measuring instruments or exceed the minimum division of the metrology instruments. Valid measurement figures, only the last position is allowed to have errors. In a group of (x ± s) should take into account individual differences, generally 1/3 of s to locate the number. For example: (48 205 ± 340.8) g, 1/3 of s more than 100 g, the average fluctuations in the hundreds, so should be written as (48.2 ± 0.3) kg, and (9.7 ± 0.24) cm, 1/3 of s = 0.08 to the second decimal point, so should be written as (9.70 ± 0.24) cm. Determine what your rounding digit is and look to the right side of it. If that digit is 4, 3, 2, or 1, simply drop all digits to the right of it. If that digit is 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9 add one to the rounding digit and drop all digits to the right of it.
(5) Parameters and Deviation Range, the Range of Values Five to ten can be written as 5 to 10; 3 × 103 to 8 × 103 or (3 to 8) × 103 cannot be written as 3 to 8 × 103. The percent range 20% to 30% cannot be written as 20 to 30%. The range of quantities with the same units, 1.5 to 3.6 mg has no need to be written as 1.5 mg to 3.6 mg. The range of deviation, (25 ± 1) mg·kg-1 cannot be written as 25 ± 1 mg·kg-1. The lengths of the multiplication are added with length symbols, such as burn area 3 cm × 4 cm.
(6) Interval Between Numerals The Arabic numerals juxtaposed within the text (including the serial numbers of figures, tables, and references) should be separated with commas in standard style. If the units of the numerals are the same, add the unit after the last numeral and separate the numerals by commas, e.g., "5, 6, 7, 8 h", "Figure 1, 2", "5 and 6 kg".

13 International Codes and Abbreviations
Special attention should be paid to the capitalization, lowercase and italicization of letters. For example, ultraviolet (UV), infrared (IR), magnetic resonance (MR), mass spectra (MS), etc., use the capitalized letters. The statistical symbols are in italicized style, such as t test, χ2 test, F test, probability P, sample arithmetic mean x, standard deviation s, sample size n, degrees of freedom υ, and correlation coefficient r. The symbols of pharmacokinetic parameters are used as followed: AUC (area under curve) and C (blood concentration) are in uppercase standard type letters; CL (total clearance), CLr (renal clearance), and Ka (primary absorption rate constant) are in uppercase italics; and Vd (apparent volume of distribution of a one-compartment model) are shared in upper- and lowercase italics. Commonly used medical terms in the method of administration can be abbreviated, such as intramuscular (im), intraperitoneal (ip), subcutaneous (sc), intracerebroventricular (icv), arterial (ia), intravenous (iv), oral (po), gavage (ig), before meals (ac), after meals (pc), once a day (qd), once a night (qn), 4 times a day (qid), 4 times a day (qn), 4 times a day (qid), 3 times a day (tid), 2 times a day (bid), and 1 time every other day (qod). These abbreviations are in standard (nonitalic) type. Liver function test indexes were ALT and AST (former GPT and GOT were abolished).

14 Discussion
Discussion should be concise and focused, concentrated on the new findings, analysis of the results, experimental shortcomings, possible effects of experimental conditions on the results, similarities and differences between the results of this paper and those of others, chance, inevitability, and problems that need to be addressed in the next step of the study. The redundant general knowledge and immature inferences should be avoided in discussion. Do not provide a literature review or repeat the result section.

15 References
Only the recently published literature that the authors have read personally, numbered in the order of first appearance in the text, and indicated in square brackets in the upper right corner, such as "reported by Zhang Ming et al [2-6]". However, the literature number is not marked in the upper right corner when it is used as a complement, e.g., "The results of this paper are consistent with the results of literature [4]". The references should be recently published journals and books (within the last 5 years for papers in foreign languages and within the last 3 years for papers in Chinese). Non-public publications such as dissertations and conference proceedings can also be included in the references. Authors must carefully check the information, such as content, year, volume, issue, and page number of the original references. When a foreign reference is cited and the author's family name is not in front of the given name, it must be changed into the format as followed: family name in front of the given name, each letter of the family name must be capitalized, and the given name is abbreviated (capitalized) without the abbreviation point. If there are less than or equal to 3 authors, all authors must be listed. If there are more than 3 authors, only the first 3 must be listed, followed by “等” (in Chinese), “他” (in Japanese), or et al. (in English). The four Chinese character "参考文献" are centered in front of the bibliography. The listed documents are written from the beginning of the row, and the serial numbers should be enclosed in square brackets. According to the Information and documentation. Rules for bibliographic references and citations to information resources (GB/T7714-2015), the following various reference types are identified by single letter after the title: monograph M, conference proceedings C, compilation G, dissertation D, report R, newspaper article N, journal article J, standard S, patent P, database DB, electronic bulletin EB, archive A, opinion map CM, data set DS, and other Z. Electronic document carriers and marker codes are as followed: Tape MT, Disk DK, CD-ROM CD, Online Network OL.
